The VIOFO A229 Pro Trio is a 3-channel dash cam that covers the road ahead, the cabin and the road behind. The front camera records in 4K, the rear in 2K and the interior in 1080P. Flagship Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 and IMX675 sensors and HDR on all three channels deliver clear, balanced footage.
The cabin camera uses a STARVIS sensor with four infrared LEDs that switch on automatically in low light, so it records sharp detail even in complete darkness. That makes it a great fit for Uber, Lyft and family drivers. A CPL filter is included to cut glare and reflections from the windshield.
The A229 Pro connects to the VIOFO app over 5GHz Wi-Fi, logs location and speed with quad-mode GPS, and responds to 12 voice commands. It supports memory cards up to 512GB. Add the VIOFO HK4 hardwire kit (sold separately) to unlock three buffered parking modes.
