The VIOFO A229 Pro Dual is a premium front-and-rear dash cam built around two flagship Sony STARVIS 2 sensors. The IMX678 front camera records in 4K, and the IMX675 rear camera records in 2K (1440P). Together they capture sharp detail such as licence plates, day or night.
HDR on both channels balances bright highlights and dark shadows, and VIOFO’s Night Vision 2.0 keeps footage clear after dark and at highway speeds. A quad-mode GPS module (GPS, BeiDou, Galileo and GLONASS) records location, speed and time with every clip.
Connect over fast 5GHz Wi-Fi to the VIOFO app to preview, download and share video. Twelve voice commands let you lock clips, take photos or switch views without taking your hands off the wheel. Loop recording and a G-sensor protect important files. With the VIOFO HK4 hardwire kit (sold separately), you can use three buffered parking modes: Auto Event Detection, Low Bitrate and Time Lapse.
